I agree, how do you regulate a public parking lot. With Hellaflush it is a matter of "early bird get's the worm". I don't see how any of this is different. It's a public parking lot, please let me know if I am wrong. Aren't registrations usually done with private owned lots? I do want to support the event with registration (I will register), but can't anybody park where they want?

You have been added to one of the main list. I will be sure to put your name on the main list here shortly.

I'm very happy you two asked and expressed your concern. I’m very familiar with Hellaflush’s location and actually have some inside information as to what is necessary to park there. I will reach out to my contact later today and ask what is necessary to occupy those lots.

The biggest aspect of this that everyone must understand is that we will be sharing the lot with the public. With that being said, the only way to ensure parking is by registering for Option 1. We also have a limited number of preferred spots and when they have all been accounted for, it will no longer be available. This is to make sure that we do not exceed the number of spots we have available.

Option 2 does not have parking in the limited preferred spaces and will share spaces with the general public. We will have someone standing at the main entrance regulating and directing attendees. Furthermore, there is a plan in order to control traffic and there will be different instructions that individuals who registered for preferred parking will receive.

I understand how all of this may look chaotic, but I assure you that we have put a lot of thought into how to make this flow as best as possible.
If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.

It is a public park but you can reserve for different events through out the park.
It looks like the car meet organizer has spend over $1500 + to get the car meet permit required to have @ Griffith Park

To kind of give you all some insight. I work at Griffith Park so I know first hand which avenues to follow ;)

Most importantly, this is definitely not a show. We don't want individuals believing it is and them being discouraged from attending because their vehicle isn't at the same caliber as others that may be there. Ultimately, the objective of this is to organize a MEET where all Accord owners can unite under the umbrella of this chassis that we love. Granted, it seems that every meet in Cali feels like a show, but that just speaks to the level of builds we have here.

aight cool so there will be people helping u regulate this situation?

also could i and many other cheat the system by saying they happen to be part of the general public and decide to park with the people of option 1 but not in the designated spots for the public?
does that make sense lol

Registration for Cali Accord Meet will open this Friday when the site is fully launched. You will be able to do so on caliaccordmeet.com.

We will have a limited number of preferred spots and when they have all been accounted for, it will no longer be available, so act hastily.

Yes, there will be people helping me to regulate the situation. As far as registering for the meet, take into consideration that for other meets, such as Eibach, you too must pay to park inside the confines. However, although this is a public park and we do not have exclusive use of the designated area, but rather a permit for a portion of it, general parking will have to share spaces with the public but you will at least receive a decal, a raffle ticket, and a shirt.

Everyone be advised that you will only be allowed to purchase one spot. This is to ensure the manner in which we have the meet organized and how it will be controlled. We will not save any spots.

Thank you.
