The white calipers are holding up pretty good so far. On a side note, one of my sidemarkers popped out while I was on the freeway and chipped off a little bit of my paint in a couple of areas. Anyone know whether I should apply touch up paint now, or wait till the paint is fully hardened and then apply the touch up paint? :Boo:

I would apply the touch up paint sooner than later, if the chips are deep you don't want the surface metal exposed to the elements. Too bad since you had the car repainted, but at least it's isolated to the quarter panel. Get behind there and make sure those sidemarkers are secured.

I know, would have really wanted this to happen before I got the car painted but at least its not too noticeable. When the sidemarker popped out, the wiring kept it attached so it started knocking against my door so thats where the damage is at. While it was knocking against my door it cracked my sidemarker so I just ordered new ones and they are super secure now. I'll try and touch it up this weekend and maybe wet sand it in a couple months so it can harden properly and maybe it won't be noticeable at all. Thanks for the help RedRyder.

Really starting to feel like my transmission is on its last leg. Starting to shift weird and felt it slip a couple times this past weekend. Really want to get the 5 speed swap done but every shop I talk to says that its not worth it and I might as well buy an accord with the 5 speed already in it. At this point Im not willing to sell my car off and start all over. Anyone have a rough estimate of how much a 5 speed swap will realistically cost? Not really wanting to put another damn automatic in.

It's Cali, there has to be a shop somewhere that will do a job as simple as this. Shouldn't be more than a few grand tops, could be less but depends on labor. Some have DIY'd it for far less.

It could be better to collect all the parts yourself, then hand them and the info from this site over...depends on the shop though.

Keep an eye out for a crashed donor on CL or junk yards. the swap seems fairly simple for the 4 banger rather than the V6

Thanks for the advice RedRyder. Collecting the parts maybe be the cheapest way to go. Thanks also Spacemonkee23. Im in Riverside so thats not too far from me, seriously considering checking that car out if I'm able to find someone to do the swap. As always, thanks for the quick responses guys, really appreciate the help.

Put half a bottle of Lucas Transmission Fix and the transmission feels alot better and shifts alot smoother, knock on wood. I know this is not a permanent fix but hoping it buys me time until I get things together for the 5 speed swap.
