Honestly the body on it isn't too terrible for an almost 30 year old MK1. Only surface rust from what I can see. The car has potential in the right hands.

wow I thought this thing would have been smashed after OCPD took it. if it was cheap as **** I'd but just to destroy it so it'll finally go away.

I agree that car has alot of potential in the right hands. If i was to get a beater to build, i think i would choose that platform and just do it right

so the oil pan is reinforced with orange paint (possibly melted crayons, oh wait there's a piece of metal there..)
the rear window has a picture of an anime character raping another one
the hood has possibly the most awesome controversial picture I've ever seen (seriously, love it)
and the engine probably has like 10 walruspower to the crank.

i just wont buy it cuz replacing the things that are welded is gonna cost to much like both the axles, oil pan, and im pretty sure it doesnt stop there
you could replace the axles, then youll have to raise it. and you could replace the oil pan as well, which wouldnt hurt anything as long as you do the axles and raise the car as well...this way you wouldnt have the chance of hitting it since the car would be higher.
its not uncommon to weld extra metal to the bottom of your smashed in oil pan on a vw. if i ever get the mk3 i want, the oil pans coming off, getting cut shorter, and a thick *** piece of diamond plate is getting welded onto the bottom...as well as a shorter oil pump haha.
