does an intake do much? not really but it helps does exhaust do much not really but it helps and is louder so you think your going faster but all together these parts provide a noticeable power increase I am not saying I swear by tbs but I am saying it helps a little bit better than stock right now personally I wouldn't buy one unless it was dirt cheap there are much better things to spend money on but I am pretty sure there somewhat functional

have you tried taking off your TBS to see what difference there is, if any between the TBS on and off?

Do throtle body spacers work... Yes.... with the right engine specs and setup they do....

will you notice gains on a stock motor.... absolutely not (**correction... stock HONDA motor, you would faster see gains on a much bigger engine than a 2.3)

TBS's were made for a reason... they increase the post throttle body butterfly area before the intake valves by the the total amount of square inches it adds which does assist an A/F ratio's

if your going for high performance engine then they work but for our motors... total waste of money

The only time when intake, exhaust or anything engine wise makes a big difference is if your forced induction or got a mad NA build with a good tune. Otherwise, its pretty pointless.
