You can go to any aftermarket shop shop does alarms. They'll know how to add a shock sensor to the factory alarm

The stock system has an imobilizer. Basically, there's a little chip in the key the the ignition reads when the key is inserted. without that, the car won't start.
So basically, you can't go to your local hardware store to get a copy of your key. Yes, it will unlock the doors and stuff, but won't start the car.
Personally, I think it's better than a kill switch because you can'y bypass it. Even if you have a manual transmission or a remote start.
I'm suprised the places you're tried can't do it. You probably have to shop around for someone who's capable of doing that. All they would do is use the shock sensor that comes with their aftermarket alarm they're trying to sell you, and program that to work with your factory remote. It's actually easier than installing a entire new alarm system because the majaroty of the work is already with the factory system. Lights, horn, etc

be like it is
black4dr, i sent you a pm. if you have an ex, you do not need to upgrade to a different alarm. the ebay remotes work just fine (except the trunk pop doesnt always work, something with the sensor or whatever, but i dont use the trunk so who cares lol). ebay rules once again!

Well, got my key fob for my accord on friday and it works now. The programming was really simple. I now have keyless entry to my car!!! The trunk also pops open with it now. That was a well spent 20 bucks!!!
