I am kind of paranoid of being pulled over and getting a ticket for having "improper" muffler. When I start the car, there is exhaust fume from the damaged area. But when the car is warm and I drive away, I dont see any fumes from the back. Seems normal

I hope the shop fixes it for free because they welded it back in december

If it is a spot that the shop fixed previously, then yes, they should be the first to take a look at it, but then I would question the work they do if their welds aren't holding up.

UPDATE

it wasnt the shop's fault. I had my suspicions rights as they showed me where they welded was just fine. The muffler was made of poor quality material and over time it rusted. Then it became loose.

I barely passed emission test last year. I dont need one this year but in 2013, I would need it. If the Accord fails the test, then I guess it is bye bye time. I dont really want to get rid of it cuz of too much time spent on it and I love being part of 6GA family :)

To avoid making a seperated thread, I have a rear section 5zigen exhaust dual exit with 2.5 inch piping from axle back. As far as wanting a single exit, would it be feasible to just remove drivers side muffler and piping and close off that portion of y-pipe? As in leave gasket and cut a piece of metal to block off that open section? Just a money saving thought lol. It's my broke college kid sense that created this idea lol
