i probably won't be meeting with a caravan, i think i'm gonna make one long drive thursday afternoon after work, crash somewhere overnight and get up and drive again the next day and if i meet them that day then awesome, if not i may just head straight to the hotel and shower and rest up for friday night's festivities

as for being up for it.... meh, there are worse things in this world than driving for long stretches by yourself, I'll get some audiobooks and I'll have my XM radio so i should survive

sooooooooooo, anyone have suggestions for me for my drive? gonna change the oil tomorrow, possibly flush my fluids, rotate the tires, make some sammiches, empty out the trunk, shave off my fender tabs.... not sure what else to do

small cooler with drinks to minimize ur stopping time as well

but u already prob thought of that

get some painters tape to tape up the front so ur not power-washing bug guts for 3 hrs after ur 20+ hr drive

Dude, full tape job.

I would even pull the roof rack off and keep it inside your car for most of the drive to maximize fuel economy. Maybe consider trying to get a hold of a full size spare just in case. Bring tools like wrenches and a jack and maybe some oil in case you need it.
