Yesterday evening, I've tried to install my brand new Megan Racing coilover springs. I've removed the strut off my car, removed the stock spring, but can't mount the new one. Look at that pic:

The top red part of the coilover don't fit in the stock top part of the strut? Why? Anything else to do? Wrong part?

It's quite urgent because I need this for the week end, there is one of the biggest japanese cars event in France.

Thanks a lot!

Wait are those coil over sleeves ? If so, the red things aren't supposed to fit in the top hat .. They're supposed to go on the strut and rest on top of the spring. Shove the strut through the hole in the middle o_O

Coilover sleeves yes, but red thing will be stuck between spring and top hat no? Can't have more pics, I re-installed stock struts to go to my job today lol

It's supposed to be stuck between the top hat and the spring. The red thing is there to keep the spring in place as you drive. If you don't have that there, the spring will be moving back and forth, and wont be centered.

The setup should look exactly like that, but with a strut inside of it. The tophat and stock bumpstop should be on top of the red thing. :p
However, I have heard that people have run it without the lil red thing just fine aswell .. Also, remember to use the orings :)

Oh also, don't mix up the front and rear springs. :)
