just started doing this, I'll start from a red light and give it some gas and as it hits 1500 rpms it does a little jerk and after that its fine, it happens in all gears, anyone know why ?

Rear motor mount? It's solid and not hydraulic like autotragics vacuum assisted motor mount. It could be broken. Check the front for stress cracks from it moving so much? Why do they say a vacuum leak? There are like 2 vacuum lines on our 5spds.

I have a similar problem. It shudders a couple times then goes away at higher RPMs. One of my friend's asked if my clutch was slipping. I hope that's not the case because that is money I don't have. Haha.

Any other input would be great.

To test the clutch get up to about 20mph, put the car in 5th gear and hammer the gas. If the RPM's rev up and the car doesn't move much, the cluth is (going) out. If it bogs/slowly accelerates then your clutch is fine.

I think you mean p0420 since p0240 is not a code.

code #1
P0420
Catalyst efficiency below threshold (bank 1)
Explanation:
The oxygen sensors monitor the catalytic converters ability to store oxygen

Lots of info here

Eh, i wouldnt recommend smashing the gas in a high gear, its not really good for the car.

Instead put the car in 3rd gear from a stop, if u can accelerate off the line in 3rd then ur clutch is out.

But i know its more of an engine problem because ur bucking at the same rpms everytime in every gear.

the clutch is fine, it does squeak but pretty sure its normal, might just need a tune up, especially if im going uphill it will just seem like its bogging down :crazyrun:
