i replaced the brake light switch and the shift interlock solenoid. it was good for 2 days and then happened again this morning. any ideas on what it could be... i do have an autotragic tranny. could it be the solenoid in the transmission?

the horn was the reason i kept blowing a fuse. my drivers side horn is bad. but i disconnected it and everything still works. brake lights, horn, just wont come out of park without using the over ride

try disconnecting the battery. I did that and everything went back to normal. the only thing i did was take out the brake switch by the e-brake (requires you to remove some of the center console components and the shift lever), cleaned it, regressed it a bit, plugged it back in, disconnected the battery and wahlah. i didn't spend a dime on replacing any sensors. (knock on wood) see if that works. that should reset everything. in rare occasions there's a solenoid on the transmission that doesn't enable you to get out of park.

so the problem is electrical and has been narrowed down to the brain of my after market alarm, the driver side multiplexer or the ignition. anyone want to take a stab at what it is?
