I have a problem with fuel pump too. Usually right before I start the car I can hear it goes "bzzzzzzzz" but today when I tried it doesn't work. I didn't know what to do and went to check the connection in the trunk first and saw it was poorly taped (never noticed that, also no idea if it was replaced or something) and I took off the tape and everything seemed normal, tried to start again and nothing. Then I just left the key in ignition ON and I heard really short "bzzt" noise and then I tried to start the car and it started. It warmed up, I turned it off and tried to start again and it starts, which is weird and I can hear that now fuel pump works, right before you start the car.

So now I don't know what could it be, as in bad connection somewhere or bad fuel pump?

Any idea where to look for a bad connection? somewhere in engine compartment or the one in the trunk? Tips would be really helpful, as I have no idea. Thank you.

check ALL fuses my car wasn't getting fuel and would'nt start. I was convinced that it was due to a bad fuel pump relay. however it turned out to be a fuse that had nothing to do with the pump. once I replaced the fuse the car started like nothing was ever wrong.

this was after 3 days and probably 6 hours of poking around. all the fuses looked ok but when tested with the multimeter one was found to be faulty.

Well, I checked all the fuses in the engine compartment, however haven't checked any in the cabin yet, but I checked them just visually, not with the multimeter. I thought, if the fuse is blown, you would see its black or missing the middle connector part, never knew that you have to check them with multimeter.

yep I pulled and looked at all of my fuses thought they were good. few days later I went over them with the meter after trying everything else I could think of.

let us know what you discover

you know about the fuses in the cabin right? (side of the dash when the door is open)

May not be your main relay, but it may help to skim the threads on it just to eliminate it as the problem (or confirm that it is).

I checked all my fuses and they are good, also just in case replaced the fuel pump fuse and weird thing is its working fine (when the car is in garage). If it stands outside for too long or at least a day, I can hear the fuel pump doesn't work.

cantafordaccord what setting did you use in multimeter to check if its good or bad?

Edit: Forgot to say, so far it works normal, so I have no idea what the problem is lol.
