Car wont start, immobilizer flashing

Thanks for the info, currently its in the shop and they are diagnosing it. will update when they get an idea of whats going on.

OK so i figured this out, had to take it to the dealership, and they said it was the immobilizer receiver unit that needed replaced. My question now is whether or not they will have to re-program after the part is installed or if i just replace the part and not have anything else to do.

they told me that they would have to re-flash it, but have found stuff online saying that they may not have to do that.

reason im asking is so i can do the re-pair my self without being charged labor.

thoughts?

You should be able to do it yourself. The immobilizer receiver just sends the keys "Code" to the ECM. When I did mine , it was just program the key to the ECM. I didn't need to change the immobilizer receiver.

SOLVED!

After 15min of install and $75 saved in labor, the car started right up!! the receiver looks something like this. The computer did NOT need re-flashed which was a plus as well!
