I'm about to graduate with a major in Finance, another in International Finance and Marketing, and a minor in Sport Administration. Math makes a whole lot more sense to me when I see $ in front of the numbers, so for that reason I did Finance and not Engineering. Reason I chose what I chose was because I wanted a secure career in whatever industry I chose. So one day, hopefully, I'll be the CFO or CEO of Honda, Nissan, or Toyota (i wish)! Or maybe in the front office of the Heat (again, i wish)! Point is, do what you gotta do to get that $$$, but at least put yourself in an environment you'll enjoy.
Mechanical/Industrial engineering is probably the place to be if, like said earlier, you can stand math and physics (and a lot of it), and you don't mind giving up every weekend to study. R&D with mechanical, improving operating procedures in production with industrial; lots of opportunities and money!
