thermoswitch $ > thermostat $

Fans shouldn't come on all the time either. Mine rarely come on, usually only super hot days where I've been idling in traffic for a while or when I park the car.

Fans are good as they come on with ac or if I jump the fan switch on the thermostat housing.

Oh and I already replaced the thermoswitch. Its like there is not enough coolant flow as the lower hose only get semi warm while the top hose gets hot!!. I guess I will try a honda thermostat and I will boil it before I install and see if that fixes it. Fingers crossed.

Always go OEM if u can afford it. There are some exceptions to this rule, but things dealing with your engine. You should probably always go OEM.

Let us know if the new Honda Thermostat works.....

well if you know your fans are working then most likely a relay.. go to the junk yard and get some relays if you dont wanna spend $$ for new ones

the relays tell your fan to turn on once your car reaches a certain temp. and yes your ac will turn on your fans also but it needs the relay to be able to turn fan on automaticly before getting too hot

OK I think I found the problem. The car isn't over heating at all, again I think. Heres why...on the way to the dealership, just on a whim, I hit the top of the dashand the gauge bounced to H instantly. So I hit it again and it went back to about 1/3 of the way up. I did this multiple times. So I think its actually the gauge. Perhaps the reason it is happening when it is warm outside is because the solder joints are expanding. Of course the warmer weather makes you think it is really the engine over heating and not that the gauge is having problems. So I removed the guages and resoldered the joints for the three plugs. If that doesn't fix it then a donor gauge will be necessary. On a side note, does anyone know how to swap the odometer between clusters? What clusters are compatible years? Engines 4cyl only for my 4cyl?

The ODO cannot be swapped into another guage cluster. However, you might be able to remove the components from the Temp guage on another cluster to make it work.

Im not sure if the V6 and the I4 cluster will work. I would just buy the same year and engine style for your car.

Glad you semi-solved your problem, but just wanted to inform you...the above mentioned "problem" is perfectly normal. The upper hose should always be warmer than the bottom.

OK problem solved! It was the gauge cluster. Resoldering the connections solved the problem.
