Hi everyone
For those that remember my thread on the varex, i ended up buying the vmk8250 muffler brand new 2nd hand.

Our accords dont have a straight flange for the muffler to go straight on, so a modification/welding job has to be done there

I plan on putting in a catback pipe and need advice on what diameter I should go for it, stock pipe is around 1.3" and I was getting quotes for 2.5" and those were quite pricey, and some say 2.5" is too big
Would a 2" straight pipe to the varex suffice?

Thoughts D?

You're V6, right? Stock piping is 2". Popular aftermarket catbacks like Magnaflow and Apexi are 2.25". So I'd stay with 2.25" - 2.5".

Nah 4-cyl - sold the v6 for a 5spd - hmm okay. I didnt realise just to install a muffler and a pipe could cost so much - they're asking $400 to install my muffler and a 2.5" pipe - varex muffler cost me $350 alone. Thought it would cost less for install and pipe
