I have a BW spoiler right now and I'm thinking of just getting ridding of it and getting the stock 6th gen spoiler with the third brake LED light. My question is, I already have 4 drill holes in my trunk now, and don't know exactly if the new spoiler's holes will line up with the old ones (or at least cover them up).

I'll be satisfied if it covers it up at least, otherwise I might have to "patch them up" Anyone know how that process works? Does anyone know how I can tell if it will cover the holes? Or is the only way to find out is by actually getting the new spoiler and taking off my BW spoiler.

Also, my tail lights are blacked out. Whoever blacked out their tail lights and have the stock spoiler, did you black out the third light in the spoiler too? Or is it really not noticeable if you don't black it out.

if u wanna patch up the wholes jus use bondo with alot of hardener...as far as the holes matchin up for the BW wing..correct me if im wrong...but isnt the black widow wing wider than the stock spoilers? if thats the case then it should cover the holes fine...

Sorry for using your pic, but it was the biggest pic I could find of the rear spoiler.

Okay it looks to me like the parts that the spoiler connects to are pretty damn close to the edge of the trunk. As long as the holes on my trunk are somewhere in that range that that spoiler is in, I should be good. I'll have to take a look at my spoiler to see where the holes are exactly. If someone will be kind enough to get an estimate of the general location of where they're drilled holes are (if you have stock spoiler), I can compare it to my measurements to see if it matches.

Is it a hard thing to patch up the holes? What's bondo and hardener? Does it look stock?

bondo=body filler (Used to fill in dents and what not)

If the holes are really big, you may want to weld in a piece of metal in the holes, then bondo over that to get it smooth. Just using bondo may crack, but the factory spoiler may cover the cracks up

Pop you trunk and look at the under side of the trunk lid. On the outer edges you will see two little indents on each side. This is where they would have put your stock spoiler. I installed my spoiler myself and all I had to do was drill out those two little indentations on both sides. If you see two bolts and no indentations on the outer edges of the trunk lid, then your BW spoiler is mounted where the stock one should go, and it should be plug and play.

And to answer your other question, I blacked out the third brake light on my spoiler, it makes everything look uniform. Just make sure to paint the lens before you put it on the car!

Thanks for the helpful tip Justin. I just checked under my trunk and I see at the edges there are two indentations like you said for where the stock spoiler should go. My BW spoiler is mounted much closer to the center of the trunk lid, so looks like I'm going to have to patch it up.

Now about patching up, I've picked out this body filler you guys recommended:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000WBSA4A...e=380333&creativeASIN=B000WBSA4A&linkCode=asn

Anyone know of a DIY on how exactly to use this? I'm assuming just put it on, use a flat tool or something to evenly lay it out, then after it dries, paint, and clear? How much exactly does this stick out if anyone knows?

Thanks.

Yeah, you can just unscrew the 3rd led light from the spoiler and then the two wires should just have connections that they can pop out of. That way I didn't have to mask anything off really. Definitely spray the 3rd light.

As for the body filler, no experience, but i think you'll have pretty good luck with painting the areas, since its white.

I'll try and find the guy on eBay that I bought my spoiler from, it came paint matched and everything for like $120.
