Sounds like Canada and Cali can't handle their roads and now it is just down to ****... Personally i think they have no right to crush the cars, but if they have enough evidence to prove street racing then i am all for impounding...I hate street racing, did it once on the interstate when i was 16 and had a stock car haha...You can't prevent it though by smashing a car..all that does is anger the owner more..

But whatever, i don't live in Cali or Canada and i sure am glad

Yeah, it's kinda like that movie Minority Report, where you get arrested before you commit the crime. I hope it's only called into play in the most extreme of cases.

There's hope though. I recently made friends with a local traffic cop who's doing the whole import community here a service. He went and got sponsors, got a Mini Cooper, lots of sponsored parts, and attends as many car club meets and shows as he can, all on his own time, trying to educate all the younger guys about the dangers of street racing. It's guys like this who give us hope for our hobby when we hear of utterly moronic things like the Ontario law happening.

They should just build a track in every city/state rather than waisting they're "precious" time on all this insanity.

That is absolutely ludicris imo. Does Canada not have race tracks or something? I know of atleast 5 friends off the top of my head with heavy modded cars purely build for drag racing or auto cross. These are daily driven cars that are never street raced. So if they were up their, they could potentically get crushed...thats bs.

Well we do have tracks here, and the track in my city is really popular. I think its completely wrong that they can do something this extreme off of an assumption and usually stuff like this never happens here in Canada...

But from the article it seems that its just happening in Ontario, which is on the other side of Canada from me, very different politics from east to west so I don't think it'll get passed where I live(west). Personally I don't think it'll come into effect anywhere near me and no one here has heard about this, so meh. I'd have to shoot someone in the face if they crushed my car over having an intake and header...
