Go to the link in this thread and read all about it... There was a law suit. I don't know if you can still submit information or not, but you might want to look into it if you have a 2000 or 2001 Accord Automatic and you haven't recieved a letter about it. My understanding is that there was a PROPOSED entitlement to a brand new transmission, and they were working on financial payment from Honda if you own one of the vehicles listed. :D

You're supposed to get a brand new (not refurbished) tranny and possibly compensation for any damages caused or replacements of a prior tranny from what I read. I'm guessing the lawsuit has been ruled on officially since some people are getting notices in the mail...

I believe I had replaced mine for a brand new 1 (that's what the dealer said) they charged me $2500. I didn't paid dime 'cause the car had "factory warranty" at that time. Anyways it does not matter if you have an extended warranty for 5 years.:driving:

And its only 2000 and 2001 accords...

Apparently some people were "injured" by the jerky transmissions, that's what appears to have started the whole thing in the first place... :driving:

I just got mine yesterday but I got my tranny replaced last year for free, they charged me $230 though to remove and then re-install the aftermarket suspension....
