Cleaning AEM Dryflow filter

What do i use to clean it?

i'm not sure u can clean the dryflow ones... but i never used it, so i'm not sure... wat does the instruction say on the box?

they sell a cleaning fluid to use for the dryflow filters. You basically use 2 whole bottles to clean the filter. Pour a bottle in 5 gallon bucket, place filter in it, let sit for 15 minutes, swish filter around, dump cleaning solution. Repeat. Let filter dry and then replace it.

Yeah you're not supposed to oil the dry flow filter...one guy told me about spraying some 3m furniture protector since it's suppose to seal the filter against water...not sure tho

2 buckets of water.

Cleaner in 1 bucket, and clean water in the other

Stick filter in the bucket with the clearner, twist the filter, and make sure that water does not come over the the and enter through the filter. Twist the filter like a washing machine.

Repeat process in the clean water

Do it till it's done.

air dry and reinstall

do u HAV to use the cleaning solution? Is there any other solution that can be use?

so who here has cleaned their dryflow? Mine never seems to come out "clean" again. It was only white when I first placed it on the intake. After cleaning it is now mostly gray with a few darker spots. Oil maybe?

You had a white one? I thought they were always kinda grey...

I know my filter is clean now cause when I first put it in the water to clean it the water turned black. After I was done with the cleaning solution, I gave it one last rinse and the water was clear.
