how will i know if the are bad or not? or if there is a problem with them?

inspect them. If they look "smooshed" deformed/cracked they are suspect. Have a friend rock the motor from the top while you look at them for excessive movement.
The sleeve should be centered up in the rubber, if it's sagged to one side/bottom the mounts are shot.
