I wish my introduction was at a better time. This is my First time posting but i've been crusing the forums for about a month now. I drive a 99 Accord LX coupe 4 cylinder 5 speed. I am currently about 5 hours away from home and am planning on leaving tomorrow late afternoon or evening. The clutch has started to slip when i shift gears it sort of catches then the rpm's will shoot up and if i let off the throttle it engages and im good to go.
Is this a common problem?
Any possible quick fix solutions without many tools available?
Any tips for trying to limp it home?
All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance - Bob

^ do what he said, take it very easy and dont be rev happy.
and theres no quick easy fix other than replacing the clutch.buy a clutch kit for everything needed then have the flywheel resurfaced at local parts store for like 30$+.

I just replaced my clutch Saturday, took me like 6 hours with a few breaks for 1st time attempting it.

Like these guys said. I recently had mine replaced but before that I had been granny shiftin mine back and forth to work for like 4 months before it finally went. Im not saying you should do this. But if it just started slipping baby the hell out of it and it should get you home.
