So i've got a new clutch kit and flywheel installed and now that its broken in....i get a burning smell and it only happens in reverse....im sure its the clutch cuz i know what is smells like....but why only in reverse?
clutch smell only in reverse..

ur probably burning it
probably ur giving it to much gas. and letting the clutch out to slowly
but i dont think the tranny has anything to do with the clutch burning/ burning of the clutch occurs between the flywheel and the the disc

i know what u mean but thats definetly not happening cuz i dont smell that in other gears and i drive the same in all gears...i try not giving it much gas in reverse and it starts trembling as if its gonna stall....

yeah i know what u mean
what i do is kinda feather the gas as well as feathering the clutch. like when its about to stall put the clutch in feather the gas and let the clutch fast enough so ur not burning it. it hard to get used too but i dont think there is anything mechanically wrong with the car. you should probably take it to a shop explain your symptoms and they probably will tell you whats wrong(if anything)
