Hello everyone,

I have been lurking around the forum and learned a lot about my 6th gen. I sent my car to an indy last week due to a failing head gasket. While having my head reworked I also had them replace my timing belt, front camshaft seal, and water pump. When i got my car back today the Catalytic converter is now shot, the crank position sensor is shot p1361 (quote of $375 to replace) and i can't get about 3000 RPM , and my neutral start switch on the transmission is now showing a code p0705. Is this all coincidence or do I need to go back and start arguing with the indy?

It could be a coincidence, but more than likely they want more money out of you. I would ask why every listed worked fine before it went to them.

I asked and they said "It happens like that sometimes."

Catalytic converter seems unrelated. Neutral safety switch (NSS) seems unrelated. Was your CEL on before all of this?

I would first replace the crank sensor which was probably destroyed during the timing belt job if it wasn't already broken to begin with. After this, clear codes and try again.
