lol well...in theory, it could go 2 ways:

on the one hand, the tweeter would be so close to the windshield that the glass would "load" the soundwaves and make them louder. you would also be eliminating any "late" reflections because everything would be bounced off the near-field surface. it would also give us the longest pathlength short of making kick panels.

on the other hand, its a curved surface and we really dont want our sound waves to hit something that early which we can't control or modify to our liking. in other words, that might be creating more phantom tweeters which we dont want, since each tweeter already sounds like 8...but thats a different thread :lawl:

as of right now, i'm of the opinion that IF you could get a 2-3" speaker up there, it would sound ok. mike lashlee did it, but he took out the entire dash to do so :lawl: anything smaller would be better elsewhere...only way (maybe) a tweeter would be good in the stock location would be if there was a midrange up on the dash as well, playing to 6kHz or so, and the tweeter was EQ'd wayyy down on the top end...maybe.

in short, i'm looking to get a pair of 3/4" domes pretty soon here. they're going to end up in sail panels (less than $3/ea from honda, no fiberglassing involved) but i'd really like to test them in the stock tweeter mounts...the issue is going to be getting wire up there :eusa_wall:
