Computer help anybody? Outlook Express problem

I have a problem with outlook express recently. It takes like 30 seconds to 1 min for me to check my e-mail. normally it takes about 3. It's the actual connecting, not the program loading up.

I am concerned for 2 reasons. First, it sucks. Second, i got a virus accouple days ago (when it started) so i think it has something to do with that. ANy help?

First check your POP and SMTP servers make sure that is correct and your username and password, if that is all good,i'd try to restore your computer to an earlier time, like a few days before the virus, see if that does anything.
Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore

I have a probelm with restoring as have important files that have been created after this time. Unfortunately accouple of weeks ago my burner broke so i can't back these up.

My pop and smtp servies are correct, i wouldn't be able to recieve e-mails otherwise.

System Restore does nothing with files, only installed programs and what not.

I fixed this by a reinstall so i'm done. Thanks for the help.
