So I have been doing some research on how to get my temp sensor to work on my F20B and the only solutions I have came across was to link up the stock F23A4 ecu with the F20B ecu or a box that converts the ECT signal from a steady state to PWM signal which i got from http://www.6thgenaccord.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17540

here is a picture of the temp sensor on the f20b i got online

just wondering how true these statements are and if there was any other solutions.... thanks in advance

Well if you know how to build a modul to convert the 0-5v to pulse then thats the best way to go.

On the other hand most of the 98-02 OBD1 and OBD2 gauge cluster should have OBD 1 and 2 input on the cluster. If you look at a service manual then 98 should point to that the sensor is connected to the cluster 00 and up on the other hand has a Rx and Tx cable on the cluster and signal is sent via ECU. What i am getting at is the engine temp sensor is (if you look at the back side of the temp gauge) connected by 4 screws from what only 3 are used. 2 are for power and if you follow the diagrams in the service manual you will notice that one goes to 98 OBD1 pin and the other to 00 and later OBD2 RX pin.

I did test OBD1 to OBD2 ecu by just repinning and it worked but OBD2 to OBD1. Have no clue. Could try as it the voltage should not fry anything.

thanks for the info! so my next question is... has anyone tried switching out the cluster for one of the CF4 SIR-T clusters that originally came with the F20b? would that solve my problem or will i still have the same results because I have a 2001?
