I am thinking of switching out my damaged tail lights I am looking at aftermarket lamps and several brands like TYC and Crash sell "CAPA Certified" and "Value line" tail lights. What is the difference between the two? Value line is obviously more cheaper priced but do CAPA lights last longer or look better or something?

CAPA is an organization that ensures the quality/fitment of aftermarket products, somewhere along those lines. If something has a CAPA certified label, fitment is usually pretty good, if not dead on. My aftermarket bumper by Keystone is CAPA certified and fits well, aside from the sides sticking out a little bit.

I assume "Value line" is hit or miss in terms of quality and fitment. If Depo lamps are available, get those... otherwise, TYC is pretty well known too.

^ spot on Davis. The part is still aftermarket, but it's been inspected to ensure fitment. Now that doesn't mean it's a guarantee they fit like OEM, but it's significantly better than non inspected aftermarket parts.

I got aftermarket rear and front bunper and they are not perfect fit, my back side sticks out and the front is not complete plush. Also my hood is aftermarket and it goes over one of my head lights which are also after market. So all these AM parts I have are value line?
