i tried some searching on here but nothing really came up. i dont have a paint gun or shop or anything, just wondering if theres anything i can do to fix my sun spot (car is from AZ, Im in Binghamton). i can take pics tomorrow it is right behind my black coupes driver side rear window.

also, anything i can do at home about tiny rust bubbles starting to form?
im new, so dont rip me apart or b*tch at me

if its sun damage the only way i know how to fix it is to have all the clear coat removed and recleared.....you'll need a shop to do that

If its only ur hood roof or trunk lid then u probably could just take it to a shop. They will most likey scuff(scratch) the clear and re apply new stuff. But even different clear coats can make the paint appear darker or lighter. I guess if ur not that picky, then just have a partial clear layed down and not the whole car. But i bet there are probably other areas affected as well. You should have wAxed your car atleast twice a year to prevent this.

I wouldve waxed it 2 times a year but seeing as I just got the car a week and a half ago it wouldve been hard haha...any clue as to how much it would roughly cost to reclear the whole car?

Get urself a dewalt 3000rpm buffer and a mean wool pad(spur and air for cleaning)

Glob on some 1000 grit compound real thick like wax and make lines with the compound as well.
(Mask anything you dont want covered in compound sling, a must for noobs!)

Set your buffer to 2200 and let the fun begin. Crosshatch in parallel lines over the panel until all you have is a thin residue resembling swirls.

Repeat process up to 3 times going higher in gittiness of the compound with each pass(1000,1250,1500) Polish that bad boy with a foam pad and oggle at the difference. Waxer up for future protection/swirl deflection. Goodluck

Well if you wanna make the trip down to pa id hook you up with a sweet 6th gen brother hood discount lol. Actually im not even sure if your car is repairable and black accord paint is reaal sensitive this chick I used to bone has the same problem on her roof/trunk I think the black is defective from our gen cords cuz ive seen others with the same problem. A good wetsand and reclear may be in order but make sure you do some shoppin around b4 you make your decision. Good luck bud!!!:coffee:
