Three questions pertaining to doing a paint job on the factory wheels.

1. Is it fiscally responsible? ie. under $50 or so?
2. Would it look retarded? I don't want to hear "sick painted OEM rims bro lolz" and have to do a sad face.
3. Would the paint easily chip off from rocks and/or the wheel weights being adjusted? (kinda applies to question #2)

Has anyone done this before? I've seen it on a Jetta and it was pretty ok. Leme know. Thanks

1. yea
2. depend on how well you spraypaint
3. clearcoat it enough and you will be set for a few years

My wheels are not stock but if you sand them well enough primer and then a couple coats of color then some coats of clear it should hold out well. I painted mine a couple of months ago and they look the same as the day I finished them.

k well then let me add a fourth question, what color? I have a silver accord, similar to that ^ gentleman. Black would be ok I'm assuming, but what about gunmetal grey?

wash
sand with fine grit sandpaper, everywhere!! helps hold the paint
wash again
primer(optional)
color paint, 3 light coats
clear coat 2 medium coats
let stand for at least 1 hour then

just be delicate when washing and it will last a good while

also remember to insert index cards around the rim to protect the tire from overspray... i used tape, fail

to the LADY, I apologize. A lot of dudes have hot chicks as their profile pic. And to Ghost from the CoD series, thanks. I think I'll do this very soon.
