Re: DIY: Sound deadening Door panel⇔Door panel lining overlap

^ yea hard to tell other than the front having a slight higher pitch/sound? or it be due to the distance idk.

Record the sound inside the car. maybe it'll be different.

Mad props for coming up with such a easy, simple solution to help deaden sound. You just gave me a really good idea! I need to deaden my map light. My bass always vibrates the screws loose, make the whole housing rattle.

Thanks, man. I always wanted to get some steaky felt sheets. I know there are many kinds of felt tapes online, but it's hard to get the ones in sheet-sized. Actually, props to Michael's lol.

Have you noticed road noise decrease as well? That would be my sole purpose of doing it it I chose to do so.

You're talking about the phase II of this DIY right? Honestly, I can't tell the BIG difference in quietness. However I'm sure they're somewhat being effective, because the panels are completely covered with a thick material, rather than stock thin plastic wet-proof sheets, which was only covered partially.

If you're thinking about making your doors quiet down from the road noise, I would recommend you apply some "Dynaliners" between your door linings & door panels. You can get more info at:

    http://www.dynamat.com/products_car_audio_dynaliner.html

They're water proof & excellent for insulational purpose, too.
