got my 4cyl auto up to about 130 once. could have kept going but this was on winter tires (VERY BAD IDEA). then I had a nightmare a few days later where I was going 130, looking down at the speedometer, then when i looked up, a deer ran right out in front of me and came through my windshield and I woke up. I dono if it was some kinda bad omen, but I haven't been over 100mph ever since. I need a clean license for my job, so I try not to mess around anymore. Not to mention most cops will arrest you if you're doing anything over 100. Its just not worth it.

If you have to ask if it has a speed limiter, you don't know what a Honda speed limiter feels like. I know in my 5th gen auto, when the speedo hit 115 it would hit a fuel cutoff at 4k rpms. Basically feels like it's bouncing off the red line.

Greg once said that the 6th gen does NOT have a limiter.

on the EX and LX, fuel cuts off at 130 mph (from experience)

on a DX, fuel cuts off at 115 mph

Roy, the fuel does not cut off at 130, I dont know if there is something wrong with my car or not, but it was definitely limited by the gearing/aerodynamics, and not the ECU.

When I first got mine i did a top speed run and at 115 it felt like acceleration was just cut off completely until the car dropped to like 105. I've got a 4cyl auto EX. So I don't know.

first and foremost 6GA does not condone street racing or any other forms of driving on public roads that put the lives of others at potential risk. IF you're asking about this because you want to take your car to the track and there is a straight away long enough for you to try and max out on that is fine, otherwise this thread will probably be closed due to content.

This is not a laughing matter and it IS something that moderators/admins/senior members take very seriously.

sowwweee :hide:

im not saying for him to drive on highways to find out but i was just answering his question.. it is never a good idea to street race.. i was in an accident when i was a kid cuz my step-mom pulled out infront a streetracer n we all went to hospital.. i had 2nd degree burns... it is totally not something any of you guys wanna go thru.. im jus glad no one was killed.. oh yea the racer didnt even have insurance..

i would much rather go to a track to race ;)
plus you get time slip as proof :D
