Do you think I need new rotors?

I just happened to check my pads and rotors yesterday and here is what my right rear rotor and pad look like. The other three are good though. No noise coming from the bad one. I may just take it to a shop and see if they can turn it for me. I suppose it depends on the thickness of the rotor if the shop can/will turn them?

you can have them turned as long was they have the right thickness but to me it just looks like reular ware. all rotors will wear different whether it is the pad that wears it that way or just how the rotor is. as long as there is no noise or vibrations or trouble stopping it doesnt look real bad to me.

I'd get both rear rotors turned and relube the slide pins and make sure the pads "float" in their seats. That rotor looks like the previous set of pads wore too much and ate some of the rotor

I checked it with my fingernail and I can feel where it's worn unevenly. Slide pins? I've done rotors and pads before but I'm not 100% sure I know what that is. I'm sure I'll get it figured out once I get it apart. Thanks for the advice!

I had my car inspected when I bought it two years ago and I think the fronts were 1mm shy of being out of specs but I don't remember on the rears. I can save $10 on shipping if I buy the rotors and pads together. :)

I had my brakes inspected this weekend so I would know what I need to buy. As I suspected, the front rotors cannot be turned, so I need new ones. The front pads are good though.

The rear pads are shot, which I new but I was not aware that the rears were seized up. :squintfinger: The rotors are good and can be turned, so I need new pads and need to clean the rears and regrease.

Even though the front pads are still good, you're going to have to replace them when you replace the front rotors; correct me if I'm wrong. New Rotors, New pads.

:aznrun: ^ That's what I was thinking, too. I guess I'll order up some new front pads.

When buy new pads make sure you check the box/pad for the rating. FF is average. EE is the worst which are the cheapest.
