I have a 99 accord lx the drivers side door is not opening all of a sudden, when I unlock the door either from outside with key or inside by pulling the lock knob thingy the door still doesnt open I tried playing with the lock by locking / unlocking but I get the same result the door is locked shut I can't get it to open. I literally have to crawl from the passenger side to get in or out of the car.

Last time something like that came into the shop we had to pull door panel of to solve the problem which was a broken bearclaw latch assembly that would not unlock. The thing is that both outside and inside handles and locks operate separately but go to the same place = door latch assembly

The doors are pretty simple. It pretty much has to be that piece of metal that attaches to the door handle came off, is broken, or is being obstructed. if you remove the door panel you will be able to find out for sure. It is rather easy to do. Or option b is lean against the car in a leather jacket, while leaning against it hammer fist the door while looking cool and relaxed, the door will open, snap your finger, point your thumbs outwards and say, "heeeyyyyy" just like the fonz

Know how people break in? A 'slim jim'

Best/only way of getting the door open.

Unless youwant to mangle the inside panel to reach the same things.
