I was just wondering, how can i make my car breath better and maybe increase a little bit of horsepower? I have a 99 accord 4 cylinder stock engine. Any ideas, links, opinioins will be appreciated..I'm thinking of throwing a little project for my car...thanks..

I/H/E. Even with those you wont notice too much. Boost is where its at...plenty of great examples of that on here.

run sand through your engine to give it a nice port and polish job

Intakes and exhaust will help, but its only going to be marginal. The stock engine just doesnt breath enough to make the stock intake and exhaust restrictive.

I have a bpinitiatives velocty stack on my intake and megan headers, cat delete with o2 fouler and s2k exhaust. I bet i gained 10 horses ffrom all that.

Yes, the car is a 4 cylinder automatic transmission..I was taking about a intake/headers..leaning more into the intake...but if most of ya'll agree that best way is boost, i don't want to add a lot of money to it...I just make it look better than/better sound/maybe some 18"....etc...thanks..INTAKE MIGHT BE A OPTION !!!

Then the best thing to do to improve performance is a 5spd swap. If you want sound, then an i/h/e will do that, but nothing performance wise.
