I have read about a lot of people installing the euro r IM on the H22...is this a direct bolt on?..If not, what other parts or custom fab. work is needed. Also would this be a good swap if planning on converting to OBD-I...I know its challenging enough swapping the H22 into a 6th gen but this would be a good mod for a N/A H22 build...if anyone knows anything...also if converting to OBD-1 is it best to get an H22 from 92-96...97-01...or does it matter...I have plans of running a chipped P72 ecu...holla back

The Euro R or Skunk 2 IM might have to be installed with the motor out of the car because of room clearance, I know for sure for the Skunk 2 IM. I feel you might have to do the same with the Euro R so make sure to install it when the motor is out of the car or it won't fit.

There shouldn't be any clearance issues with the EURO R intake. But a couple of things you should know. Yes this intake will bolt right up with an H22 but the intake won't work right out of the box. You can't use stock h22 injectors or fuel rail unless you purchase or make your own fuel rail mount. You also have to port some of the intake area where the injectors are. The Euro R injectors are totally different from H22 injectors. Now once you have that you have to figure out how to close up the EGR ports. There are a couple of nice blocking plates out there you just got to find them. A stock h22 TB will bolt up but you will have to use honda bond or something similar to seal to holes around the TB. So you need to get the Euro R TB or an S2000 TB because I think the honda bond option is just asking for trouble. There are a couple of other minor things to get the Euro R intake to work, ie throttle cable hookup and H22 Iavc control. Most of these problems can be solve with aftermarket pieces, they are alittle expensive but they will make your life alot easier. I was going to do this in the spring since my engine was out of my car. I did alot of research but in end I was short the $400 bucks to make this happen. This mod will cost $500-400 bucks unless you can fab your own stuff to fix some of the incompatibility with the H22 stuff (H22 OBD1). But the people on HT swear that all of this work is worth it and the Euro R Intake Manifold blows the Skunk 2 out of the water.
I think I'm just going to save my money and get ITB's and call it a day
