Hi, folks, I've got a Euro R swapped '99 6GCpe. Just threw up some photos here:
http://www.6thgenaccord.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50205

My question to you all is what is the best way to unload this car? It was my baby and my project for a long time, but I've switched over now to an s2k and I don't want to have two cars in SF.

First of all, although I went a long way towards BARing my H22 swap, I decided not to go to the extra struggle(I should write a whole thread on that). So I have a non-BAR'd Euro R swap at the moment. In CA you need to take a new smog test after buying a used car, so the potential buyer would have to deal with that thorny issue. Not sure what kind of a market there is for that ... any input from CA folks?

Another possibility is parting out, but I would loathe to do that unless it is the last resort.

The engine is rebuilt: --mild P&P on the head, valves reseated, new gaskets+seals all throughout, new piston rings (no wear or scars in the cylinder walls at all). 225 +- 5psi compression in each cylinder *cold*.

Any suggestions?

unless a prospective buyer knows a guy
smogging that thing is gonna be impossible
I couldn't even find a place to let me get away with having my Megan headers covered up with the OEM heat shield.

When I first came to CA I saw the referee. It didn't seem like the path was impossible, just time consuming and regressive. My car passed the actual smog test and functional test with flying colors, but because it was modified it could not pass the inspection.

They told me they could BAR an H22A by conforming it to a 2001 Prelude. The main problem is that they are very simple-minded in how they go about doing the exam. Basically I would have to make sure every emissions component from the Prelude H22A1 was in exactly the same place. I actually bought a Prelude IM and all of the emissions components that went on it, but got lazy and never finished the "smog-swap." The main complication was that I would have to install the evap system from a prelude in the engine compartment because that's where it is in a Prelude. If these changes actually made the car emit less toxins into our shared California air then I would be all for it, but the sad fact is that all these changes would be done just so the referee can successfully play I-spy with his engine diagram.

Yeah, like he said, or 're-stamp' the block, and 're-sticker' the hood...

Spray it with a bit of oil, let it get dusty, looks oem to me...
