new actuator as in...brand new, straight from honda?

it's 100% for the LED, unless they unplugged the existing harness from the car, then swapped in a candian one which has a switch for heated mirrors. but how would they get a canadian harness anyway? :lawl:

Very unlikely to be a Canadian door, however I won't say it is impossible. I'm going to have to take a closer look in the door tomorrow, it was getting dark when I started to poke around in there. Also the drivers door isn't the only one acting up, the rear driver side door is on the fritz too. I'll be calling the body shop in the morning regardless, (they have my alpine speaker)I really just want to get an idea on what the other connector was for.

I need to know if there is a function in the drivers door controls that isn't present in mine. I got my car back from the shop a few days ago and things aren't working right. I looked inside the door and found a few new things. There are now four connectors in the vicinity of the power window buttons. What I am talking about specifically is a small two pin connector with like 20 gauge wires in it. I think my door may have come from a "incompatible" donor. What I know is supposed to be there for LX is power windows, power windows on/off, and the power window movement. Help is appreciated!

I know I am not the Matt they were expecting to chime in but I have taken my door panel off more than a few times myself. I don't know the difference between an LX and an EX in terms of power features, plus I have a 2 door.

Outside of the power window's and locks, you have small gauge wire for the bulb at the bottom of the door. That probably isn't it. The other, as mentioned is for the security LED. I believe it has a very small, 2 pin connector of the top of my head but the connector is the smallest on the door if I recall.

You also would have a harness for each window switch that I believe are square, or mostly square. Then you have a long, skinny harness for the mirror switch and I believe a second, more square one for the "switch" that adjusts the power mirrors. If forget if there is one for the child safety lock on the windows. Lastly, you have a relatively small, rectangular harness for the power door locks.

Now, there are other harnesses that you do not need to take off to get to the door like the speakers, the window regulator, probably some others I don't know about.

It sounds exactly like the wire that goes to the actual door lock (not the switch) where the LED would be.

Hope that helps, it's been awhile since I took the door off, and I am the wrong Matt.

I actually ended up taking my door panel off for something else, how ironic. Anyway, the only 2 pin connector is for the Security. Everything else is 3 or more pins.

Finally a pixor, excluding the light in the door this is the only two pin connector in the door. Just for conformation purposes.

I think so, at the shop now waiting for a ride home. Got the Alpine back and the rear door sorted out, the actuator didn't get screwed back to the door so it just flopped around in the door. The front door is doing very weird things though. When the ignition is off the rh door locks work normally but when the ignition is on the rh doors still work but the driver rear door only unlocks and driver door is still bollocks. I think it's the multiplexor, now I'm just waiting for results.

I can keep my door panel off for the next few hours if you need, I took it off to check something and forgot to put them back on last night. I probably won't be going anywhere for the next couple of hours.

You can put the panel back on, the car is at the shop. I'll let them figure it out, if they can't they said they'd send it down the road to the Stealership on their dime.

Got the car back today, the wiring harness in addition to the actuator were causing the problems. They ended up pulling the door harness out of my smashed door and fishing it into my new one. All is functioning just like it should. BTW would anyone happen to have access to alldata info regarding the door harness pins?
