The header depends on the style.

4-1, cylinder head, to exhaust, no mid pipe

(most) 4-2-1, they have a mid pipe.

But no, you can't fit them together usually.

Just have it welded, just find a back-door shop & ask them.

Okay, so P1164 first. No matter the issue with your header, I think the sensor is toast. Are you F23A1 or A4 (non-ULEV or ULEV)? They are different sensors for each.

I think most header setups are 4-2-1 for this car so I think you'll need a complimenting downpipe.

P1457... EVAP Canister I think....

Are you sure it isn't on the low end as well? This theoretically should have no tie in's with VTEC. It is probably just less pronounced on the low end.

It is quite possible that it's carbon build up. You should try a seafoam treatment through the brake booster vacuum line. If you have a manual transmission, you may throw a P0500 code during the process. The first time I seafoamed mine, the engine died quite a few times. After that, it ran much better and I can no longer get it to die by drowning it in seafoam.

Do you know how to do this treatment properly?
