This is great. Get a test mule top hat set going and lets see the results. Anyone with coilovers which use OEM upper mounts needs these!

And to those of you who are laughing at the idea, the joke is on you. You're saying don't be cheap and buy full coilovers when you're rocking 600 dollar Ksports or F2s. If you weren't so cheap you'd all have Zeals, JICs, or AMRs for full coilovers, or even Ohlins or Penske so... GTFO.

I think those are for the Integra.

well my car will be the test mule as soon as the he get the specs together and i get him a spare set of top hats he will begin to make them

and ye those tein's in the pics are for civic/interga

I'd like to see how these look and how functional they turn out to be.

give it bout 2 week and they should be done

Well, you wouldn't have JICs, they're not the best of the retail coils. Tein Flexes though...
Tein Flexes are definitely not the best Gilbert, don't even come close. Internally they are identical to Super Streets and Basics. They are just valved more aggressively and feature a separate height adjustment perch. I had a friend that worked at JIC and he was saying that the only full coilover he would really take over the product he currently owns (JIC FLT-AR) would be Zeal Functions for his S14. I'd have JICs over Tein Flexes any day of the week. They're performance coilovers, not revamped street use coilovers. Tein Monoflex coilovers are better than their regular Flexes but I'd still have those JICs over them. From my general understanding Tein is like Omnipower in Japan, they're just a lower end budget suspension company basically. With that said however, Tein's quality surpasses many of those other brands which come from Taiwan. I know Tein does outsource to Taiwan as well for some of their lower coilovers but it's not the same as Ksport, F2, D2, Megan, or any other brand's production plant.

And my point was you guys are telling this dude he's being cheap when you're not spending more than 700 bucks on your coilovers. THAT is cheap. Getting sub 800 dollar, "Million damper setting adjustable", colorfully anodized coilovers makes you the cheap one, so the joke is on you. Some of the better setups for our cars actually don't come with top hats (IE: Koni Yellows/Ground Control) so something like this is actually going to give you optimal performance and allow you to get long term use out of your shocks.

Just because you like them does not mean that they perform like they should haha. I'm a little sad that they stopped production of the CG ones. They're kind of hard to find now.

D2s and Ksports are supposedly the same but nobody ever supplies evidence to support that theory. They are just different colors with different badging to everyone so they assume that they are the same. Believe it or not there are actually many suspension plants in Taiwan so they might not be. Regardless, I'd take a track proven coilover like Zeal Function Xs or JIC FLT-ARs over some Omnipower coilovers, as they come from Taiwan as well.

cg?

well the reason i say they are the same is cause when i ordered a set of d2 coil overs and big brake kit. the big brake kits calipers were gonna ger polished so when we took them apart and 2 of them were previously orange and were sticker-ed ksport

they are made in the same factory and use the exact same parts just badged differently
a valved differently

CG2, CG3, CG5, CG6. :p

I see. I was going to say that if they come from the same plant they might have different valving specs.
