factory alarm goes off when i unlock w/key

hey all! i just bought a `99 Honda accord coupe black with factory alarm today from this guy. so i take the car to work park in the lot...dinner time rolls around i go to the car and unlock it BEEP Beep BEEP Beep for 2 minutes so i get food and come back to the lot lock the door BEEP BeEP BEEP BEEp for 2 minutes again. what is going on? i have the key but no clicker, what can i do? the guy i bought it from i have his work. any help would be appreciated.

are you unlocking from the driver door or passenger? locking and unlocking the drivers door would be the same as using the clicker, otherwise there must be something wrong but i have no idea what

yea i have no idea... thats new to me...

when i didnt have a remote but an alarm, i went to the nearest audio/alarm shop... they have test remotes and the guy found me a remote that would work with my car. only cost $35 for it

KNOX thank you for the quick response. yeah i used the drivers side, the alarm went off after a couple minutes. but the red light kept blinking, i'll look for the box that i read about in my search in the morning.

update: i work at night so when i got home the alarm was about to go off so i open the door while driving BEEP BeEP BEEP BEEp so i'm driving holding the door open so when i reach my block the 2 mins is up and no BEEPING. today took it to the dealer couldn't find what was problem, 4 hours i had to go to work so the guy just pulled the horn relay.

update got a used ebay remote for $30 went online to http://programyourremote.com/classified/DisplayAd.asp?id=701
bam the alarm is now all good. stealership tried to charge me $108 before parts and @ the dealership the remote cost $150. so i saved $228. now i can put that money to better use than sending some dude @ the dealerships wife for botox.

Thats an anti theft feature in our cars... To open the car with your key you gotta walk around to the passenger side and open it from there and the alarm won't go off
