now go look at the prices for 6th gens.

to put it into perspective, i got my car 5 years ago for $7070 (thats tax, new plates, dealership fee, etc)...i'd be lucky to get $3k on the private market today. it was 7 years old at the time, and the good CL-Ss are now also 7 years old.

or i guess i could have waited 5 years, without a car, to get a CL-S today for my $7000 principal

I am embarassed at how much money I spent on my 6th gen back in 04. Even though it was fully loaded, garage kept and mint condition, grandma owned with 18,000 miles.

well, its a different ballgame entirely...mine was 7 years old at the time, i'm the 3rd owner (at least), and i bought it with 125k

buying a 2 year old car...well...it should have most of its value yet

I won't even post up what I paid for my car being 4 years old when I got it. You all sound like you got some GREAT deals for what you paid.

I see why more and more people shop in the US for a vehicle and just pay up at the border.....still works out to a better deal.

oh hell yeah, 2000 6ga coupes in my condition (pretty good minus some rust bubbles) go for 6-7K with my mileage. luckily the dealr dropped 900 off the price tag an hour before i went to go look at it since id been eyeing it for months and finally had the money haha.

When I got mine, it has 80K+(80, 716, IIRC).

I probably overpaid by a bit, but not much compared to what the 02's were going for in '06.
