For those with a wing...

I need a little help. So I'm going to buy an OEM spoiler. I found one on ebay but I cannot tell if its the 98-00 style sedan wing or the 01-02 style sedan wing. I'm looking to get one in the 98-00 style (more angled, smaller LED lightbar) Do you guys think this wing is the 98-00 style? The seller was no help...

they are def different...but...i kinda think the 98-00 looks better...whatever though

I'd be a little hesitant to buy from a seller who doesn't even know what he's selling. Who knows if you'll even get what he thinks he's selling...I'd look elsewhere.

The photo in his listing, since it's from the top, doesn't really reveal which gen wing this is. At least for me.

Me neither. I asked him if he could get a picture of the LED bar for me and he replied that it wasn't possible because he's a dealership and it's in the warehouse :boohoo:

I always believe you can tell a lot by a company/product by what the consumer review says. A 99.6% rating is hard to beat. Not to mention the 668 listings of all honda/acura parts. If you want to feel a little more comfortable about ordering, try messaging the seller? Ask for more detailed pictures. Is it a genuine facrorty Honda part? Is there any factory Honda part # he could give you to cross reference?

No I feel comfortable purchasing from this seller but like I said above, I already asked for more pics, but he couldn't do that. All I want to know is if this wing is the 98-00 style...

if they can't be bothered to cross reference the part number they list in the auction, or be bothered to verify anything for you, tell them to **** off. as of right now, its a one-in-a-million shot that someone has the same spoiler and kept the box and is reading this thread.

if you trust google, a chinese site lists it as an 02. if you believe it, that is.

For the auction in the original post though, I just want someone with either type of wing that could possibly verify by looks if its a 98-00 style wing (like the link in this post) or the 01-02 style. Not trying to ask for numbers or anything, just a visual thing

This is what the seller replied to me:

"Sorry, this spoiler is in my warehouse. This is an OE Honda spoiler as we are a dealership and you can you any search engine to view images of an OE spoiler.
Thanks for the question."

i THINK its the 01-02. if you look toward the end of the spoiler in their listing it has a shadow that seems to line up with the more squarish shape of the 01-02 spoiler pic.

ebay seller magautoparts is magauto.com and they are a group of dealerships. i bought my lip kit from them and i've talk to them on the phone

look at their liquidation section on their website HERE.the 98-02 spoilers are only 90 bucks plus around 25 for shipping but you'll still have the same problem of having to guess if its a 98 or 01. they dont have satin silver on liquidation but maybe it'll still be cheaper if you have it repainted?

edit: oh, and i googled the part number listed and the few links they came up were for 01 and 02

different part number...so i'd say that is the right one.

as for the "original" spoiler...i highly doubt anyone can tell what it is from that pic, at that angle, with that lighting...but do it the hard way if you want :Smoker:
