armorall is a conspiracy. it collects dust easily so you need to apply more product, more often i also wonder if it contributes to softer plastics and rubber drying up and cracking...

turtle wax "power out" fabric cleaner ftw. if a stain happens, naturally, remove it as soon as possible.

the tan isnt worse than black or gray...it just shows dirt differently. dark interior shows light dirt, light interior shows dark dirt.

You are not the first person to mention the armorall being a problem.

What's funny is i used armor all on my 93 accord and i have been using it on this 2002 and ive yet to have it crack or soften the dash(thats all i really use it for)

I buy the armorall clean wipes and i wipe down everything and it shines for weeks.

Really awesome stuff, it does make spots easier to remove as well.

And i believe i use resolve for the carpet but i forgot to mention that i, as well, use clear plastic rubber mats in the front and back so peoples shoes are not directly on the carpet. Id say my int is an 9/10.

I like Meguiars Quick Interior Detail. It's cheap and leaves a natural shine. 303 Aerospace makes a great vinyl/plastic cleaner and a protectant that is awesome.

I have a 5 year old so keeping the carpet and stuff clean is tedious. I try to be anal about it but the queen always gives me ish for not understanding how dirty kids are.

I had a 93 Accord in the hot temperate climate in Florida and i used armor all(wipes, i don't know if your referring to something else) and i used them about 1-2 a month. Sometimes i let it go for a bit but i kept the car pretty clean so i used them often enough.

I had 0 cracks and the day i sold it the dash looked like it was just off the showroom...not dry, no cracks albeit im sure it was dusty and needed to be cleaned but it was in great condition.

Ive never actually seen anyones dash crack or become ruined by armor all...i just think it was a rumor that got started for what reason i have no idea.

It doesn't really have a smell, they have scented ones i believe.

It is oily but it glistens like no other.

It does come down to preference but armor all def doesn't ruin anything, at least not that ive ever seen.

And the car spent 3 years in Hinesville, Georgia which gets just as hot sometimes.

try what i did its a little time consuming, but my interior feels like a baby's *** lolz...first get your hands on some shoe polish(make sure you get a color that matches the interior), coca butter, applicator pads, and terry towels i know it sounds wierd but trust me it works and its a hell of alot cheaper than having to pay someone to clean it for you...start off by rubbing the shoe polish with the applicator all over the seats then let it sit for about an hour then remove it with the terry towel. Reason for this is that the leather is so dry and the shoe polish will soften up the leather. once the polish is removed next applicate the coca butter all over the seats and let set for about an hour then remove with another terry towel. the cocoa butter acts like a moisterizer and will make your seats real smooth. for better results you can use any leather conditioner from your local auto part store. Be sure to do this in the shade.

I used Armor All on my old Taurus I owned for 7 years, and had zero fading, discoloration, or cracking. And dash plastic doesn't get any cheaper than that.

Been using it on my Accord for 3.5 years and no problems. Depends on the car perhaps.

BTW if your dash is glistening from applying Armor All, you are using too much.

wat i use to keep my interior clean... is called tuff stuff it comes in a "yellow" spray container... they sell it in Strauss discount auto and auto zone...."caution" u must clean part by part because if u leave tuff stuff on anything for to long, it will leave spots of were it was sprayed and make sure u put treatment on everything u cleaned...
