So I came across 2 good deals h22a4 and an f23a5 with f23 Trans. I am wondering if these engines have worked to make a g23 build. I will be putting the Wisco pistons and rods in the f23a5 of course with the goal of turbo. I am wondering if the increased size of the h22a4 head will throw everything off. Also anything I'm missing about these 2 engines. Any info would be great, thanks. I've been looking and haven't seen any info on these 2.

I believe the f23a5 bottom end is the same as the f23a1. So maybe you could look into that more just in case im wrong. But if im right you could just follow a guide for the f23a1 with h22 head

What I'm wondering is if anyone has done it. I know the h22a1 and f23a1 work together. The block of the f23 are all the same. But the h22a4 is a different cylinder head than the h22a1 as far as size. (As long as everything I have read is right). I'm really worried my compression will be too low as the h22a4 has larger combustion chambers. Or so I've read thanks again guys.

Yeah, stayin with a stock bottom end you get lower, how low, I don't know.

I think those are OK with boost, so probly somethin (hopefully) like 8.5:1

I think the F-series is a solid bottom end for an H, you get to ditch the 'sleeves'...but I think Honda made one, the F20B (i really don't know this).

But basically, prepare for a turbo.
