getting new tires, don't know what to get

p-zero are grippy, but the thread wear is teh sux!!!!!! which p-zero is it? they have 2 types

do you mean they wear out fast?

cause i checked some reviews and that seems to be the case, but i'm not an aggressive drive nor do i go to the track

so for the price what do you guys think

should i just bite the bullet and pay for brand new ones which will probably last longer, minus the quality of pirelli of course

or buy the pirelli's

well, let's say that abt 80% left... for $260 for a set of 4, tht's a really good price esp for 225/40/18.... but they wear out fast... here's the specs on all 3 different p-zero:

1. P-zero nero - thread wear = 220

the smaller the thread wear number, the faster it wears out... altho u might drive non-aggressively, it'll still wear out pretty fast.. i know this cos i drove my bro's car for half a year with the p-zero system, and it wore out the tires despite city driving.

in conclusion, get them for the mean time if u want becos tht is a good price for those tires... but look into buying new tires in abt a year or so.. hope that helps

thanks for the detailed answer, i decided to go ahead and buy them for now, and i'll see what happens next summer, hopefully i won't have to buy another set
