I like the arguement that Honda's parts are outsourced. Of course they are, so are GM's!!! I'd love to see anyone find me a product, auto or otherwise, that is completely American. From materials used, to assembly. The challange is set.

now doesnt that timing belt look like fun? whew, and i thought 4g63's were finnicky haha. i think people bash american cars because most if not all of us have had bad experiences with them. when i had to junk my 91 plymouth with (just) 105k, i couldnt help but think how ridiculous that was. on top of that, i bought my 7-years-newer accord with 20k MORE miles on it, and my car is in 10x better shape even though the previous owners were all stupid. with all my experiences with chyrsler products, i will never, ever, own another.

but to you uhkord, i say good luck with the new car. i hope everything goes well with it, and most of all, have fun with it. to each his own :D

American cars, GM's especially, are just put together backwards. I can't think of an Import that you have to remove the entire dash just to get to the radio, and then have to use a $120 wiring harness on top of it.

2 seconds after reading this, one car popped into my head (but i dont know the exact specs): 7th gen accord. and yes, american cars have lots of "whoops! i guess we forgot that...stick it...oh, somewhere over there" things.

that generation grand prix is just ugly. the newer version looks way better. If you had to go Pontiac you should have gotten a G6 or the newer grand prix. I've ridden in that style Grand Prix a lot when I was in rental. the interiors are very cheap.

The 7th Gen isn't too bad to do basic stuff with. Sat Radio etc. Decks, yea the install sucks with the removal of the climate control section depending on the kit.

im so much happier with the grand prix than the accord. i like the accord, but its nothing compared to the grand prix. and i knew before posting pics and saying i got a domestic i was gonna get crap from everyone on here since its an import site. but that just goes to show the maturity level.

Nothing to do with the "maturity" level bud. Those cars simply do not last. And the resale value on those american cars sucks as$ cause they basically give away the new ones with "0% financing" "dont pay till ur kids graduate" blah blah blah! whos gonna pay top dollar for a used one when you can get a new one for so cheap? And theres no reliability with these cars cuz there slapped together. I sold a couple........i know.
Like i said in my earlier post, congrats on getting a new car. :) but nobody here is giving you crap, most of us are speaking from experience. and thats why none of us are driving neons or Aleros.

^^^I totally agree. Even one of the guys on ClubGP said something to the effect of "welcome to reliability, easy to find parts, buttery smooth steering" and some other stuff. Honda>GM. The ONLY GM I'd ever consider is the GTO, only because it wasn't made my GM at all. Made in Australia :).
