Headlight sealant question

Do I remove the old headlight sealant then apply the hondabond?

i always reheated the stuff in there as well as added a little extra silicon where it looked like it might need some. never had any problems with that method.

Go to any auto parts store and buy Butyl tape (the same stuff used to seal them). I paid 10 bucks it comes in a roll the same thickness as a pen. I used wax paper to roll it thinner and re applied a new thin bead heat them up and push them back together, no additional sealing needed. Best of all no leaking or moisture.
