Headlight socket

Recently my left headlight blew up and melted my socket i was just wondering if it needed a specific type of socket to replace it or can i just use a hb4/9006 connector. like this one http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1PCS-Soc...ies&hash=item43b08386cf&_uhb=1#ht_5219wt_1123

That looks like a hid ballast connector .. you need a 9006 male socket. Take off the old plug, slide the rubber seals onto the wire, solder the prongs onto the wire and seal them up with heatshrink/electrical tape then plug the prongs back in the socket ..
