I believe it's typical honda rust area. Salt and water in the winter time just make it worse.

Luckily I live in an area that doesn't see snow but once every few years. This car originated from Northern Virginia so that explains the rust. My SSM spray paint came into today so I'm gonna get some bondo and other equipment from the store tomorrow and hopefully start this weekend on the wheel well.

Come on, you will never know until you try.
Even if you mess up, it's still not too late to bring it to the body shop.

Eh I'm bad at painting. I redid my rear bumper because of a scratch and it looks horrible. I might try at it this weekend at some point but the rust isn't as bad as a few other members here. It's just started breaking the paint a little bit. The passenger side is much worse than the wheel arch is.

this is the rust area on rear quarter panel passenger side...

I'll try to fix it myself first and if it's out of my league i'll bring it to the body shop.

Oh wow! Mine isn't that bad. It's just started bubbling the paint and a few pieces have chipped off but not nearly as bad as that.

Did you happen to have those rubber moldings that went around the lip of the wheel arch? Mine did and I can assume that's what happened to mine.

Mine doesn't have the molding but it's a good idea if i fix the rust and it doesn't look good, i can use the molding to cover the fix area.:)
