Dude its your belts.
The alternator doesn't chirp when it goes bad, it just stops charging your battery.
You can just loosen up the 14mm bolt that goes through the alternator and grabs onto the bracket, and the smaller 12mm on the bottom right side.. then tighten up the bottom bolt that's facing foward until the belt gets a little tighter(the tensioner), And just tighten up the other two you loosened up and done.

^ +1. Its chirps when its cold then once it warms it grips the teeth of the pulleys better.

If it were the alternator it would be constant ringing/clunking/grinding.

Dimming lights when using accessories is normal unless you swapped to the odysseys high output alternator or you have a ground kit.

Do the belt first if you havent already changed the alternator. Or take it to advance auto to have tested. (my employer)

Erik if you're right, you just saved me money, and I love you for that.

I'll take my car by my friend's place tomorrow and we'll see what's up I guess.

I have a sneaking suspicion you're right too, because the noise seems to be coming from a lower point than where the alternator is.

Like I've put my ear basically right up next to the alternator and it sounds like its coming from the right, so it's gotta be a belt.

Yep ^^, A way you can test to see if its the belt EXTREMELY fast is by wetting your alternator belt a little bit haha, don't pour water directly on the alternator though (obviously). If it goes away then your belts are lose, or just old.

edit: and i mean go away for atleast 1-2 seconds, it'll come back as soon as the belt dries again.

the sound is so annoying too when I'm pulling out of my driveway in the morning, I'm like yelling under my breath "god...just stfu already" :lawl:

also Erik I'll try that (carefully)

hmm I was wondering, if a belt needs to be replaced what's ballpark price range for that? I'm guessing not much :skurred:
